Paradise Dynasty: Menu picks in my go-to Chinese restaurant.

It’s been a while since I’ve done a food post. So, for my comeback post, I decided to kick things off by sharing some of my favorites at Paradise Dynasty.

Paradise Dynasty

Whether it’s at their S Maison branch or The Podium, or even at their newly opened SM Aura branch, I’m sure many of you have been to Paradise Dynasty already. You probably have your own favorites as well.

Well for me, here are my go to orders whenever my family dines there.

My fave picks when dining at Paradise Dynasty

Radish Pastry

Paradise Dynasty

Radish Cake never fails to please my palate; how it hits the right spot every time I eat it. This is most definitely one of my fave Chinese comfort food.

This Radish Pastry is not prepared like a cake. Instead, the radish filling is wrapped in a light and flaky pastry crust similar to that of a croissant. Really good stuff!

Tender Pork Shreds Wrapped in Chinese Crepe

Paradise Dynasty

This savory dish is always an absolute favorite by the family. For those unfamiliar, at first glance you’d think this is a noodle dish, right? Nope. It’s actually very tender and very flavorful stir fried pork shreds in black bean sauce.

You scoop some of the pork shreds and wrap it using the Chinese Crepe that is served along with it. If you are avoiding carbs, you can eat it as is. Yum!

Xiao Long Bao

When you find yourself at Paradise Dynasty, you must try their Xiao Long Bao!

Paradise Dynasty

Either get the Signature Original Xiao Long Bao or the flavored ones in Szechuan, Garlic, Cheesy, Ginseng, Crab Roe, Foie Gras and Black Truffle.

Paradise Dynasty

I prefer eating my XLB the very moment it’s served; while it’s still piping hot. I place a piece on the soup spoon, poke a small hole on the wrapper and slurp up the hot soup. Once I’m done with the soup, I dip my XLB in black vinegar mixed with ginger slivers and eat in one go. Delicious!

Here’s a guide on how to enjoy Paradise Dynasty’s XLBs – from Original to Szechuan.

Poached Beef in Szechuan Chili Oil

Paradise Dynasty

If you’re not a fan of spicy food, you might want to skip this one. But if you’re partial to spice and zing, or just adventurous with food (like I am), this dish is right up your alley. Highly recommended.

Visually, the Poached Beef in Szechuan Chili Oil doesn’t look too flavorful. But lo and behold! The flavors are quite complex! The flavors are bold, the heat is undeniably evident, and it even showcases a delightful hint of sweetness as well. The dish also offers a very beautiful and inviting aroma.

The hot and spicy blend slowly builds up to a pleasantly tolerable scorch that makes my tongue tingle a bit as I eat it.

Scrambled Egg White with Fish and Conpoy

Paradise Dynasty

Wondering how to eat this? Break the egg yolk; spread it around; then scoop.

The scrambled egg white is light, yet when mixed with the egg yolk, it boasts of a deliciously creamy texture. Plus, the flavor of the black vinegar adds a delicate hint of acidity which is great. The dish is simple but packed with character.

Truly egg-cellent!

Szechuan Crispy Chicken

Paradise Dynasty

The chicken pieces were cooked perfectly – golden and crispy for a delightfully satisfying crunch. It has a bit of a kick, too!

Crispy Fried Crystal Prawns tossed with Salted Egg Yolk

Paradise Dynasty

I always love the textural contrast the salted egg yolk gives when mixed with other ingredients and dishes. This dish is enough proof. Salted egg and prawns taste incredible; salty, creamy, flavorful, and all sorts of wow! This dish really swept me off my feet!

It’s Yang Zhou Fried Rice’s perfect partner!

Charcoal Custard Lava Bun

Paradise Dynasty

The symphony that this dish’s sweet custard and salted egg filling is just divine!

These gastronomic gems should not be missed when dining at Paradise Dynasty!

Paradise Dynasty

Paradise Dynasty

Paradise Dynasty surely satisfies my Chinese food cravings each and every time I want one.

There’s one more thing I love about Paradise Dynasty which I’m sure you will love, too. The prices are friendly on the pocket. The place may intimidate you at first but once you see the menu and the price points, you’ll be happily surprised to discover that their offerings are very reasonable.

So, there you have it. I hope you’ve picked up a couple of ideas on which dishes to order on your next visit to Paradise Dynasty. If you have your own picks, feel free to share them on the comments section below for other readers to try out as well. Happy eating!
