Hey guys! It’s me, Ralph! The Tummy Traveler’s son. I’ll be the one to tell you all about me and my dad’s trip to Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
Our trip wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for AirAsia and of course our gracious host, Microtel Inn & Suites in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
Microtel Inn & Suites in Puerto Princesa, Palawan – Just like being home
This cozy two floor, beachfront hotel will surely be your home away from home while you’re in Puerto Princesa.
Microtel Inn & Suites Puerto Princesa, Palawan has a total of 50 rooms (single/double/suites).
There are rooms that aren’t facing the beach but instead are facing the front of the hotel like these single and double rooms:
The room has a couch, a divider, and a small kitchen with a microwave.
My dad and I stayed in one of Microtel’s cozy double rooms facing the beach.
The restaurant, Senordamla, is right beside the pool. You can take a dip right after eating but I’d suggest resting for 30 minutes or so before diving in.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a gym. But then again, you’d be too busy touring the island and whatnot during your trip.
But they do have a pool!
So, even if you just stay in the hotel, a few laps in the pool will more than make up for your need to hit the gym.
One thing to know about the beach is that, it’s lowtide in the morning and high tide in the late afternoon ’till the wee hours of the morning.
This place is delightfully plain and simple — the kind of vibe you wouldn’t want to change once you’re here. It’s cozy, relaxing, quiet, and it’s just like you never left the comfort of your home.
Microtel Inn & Suites in Palawan has a very spacious receiving area, too.
A lounge type area by the doorway to the beach where you can have coffee or just chill.
A small playground for the kids who aren’t up for swimming just yet.
A hammock right beside the beach where you can sleep while listening to the waves crashing the shore.
The beautiful exterior of the side of the hotel facing the beach.
So, if you happen to be in Palawan or planning a getaway anytime soon, I highly recommend Microtel Inn & Suites Palawan. The place is quiet and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you don’t want to go around Palawan, just stay here – chill by the beach, relax in your room, swim in the pool. I’m pretty sure you won’t regret booking a room here at Microtel.
