After a busy weekday of school, work and in-betweens, I usually make it a point to have our family enjoy some quality time together over a good meal. Sometimes, we’d eat out and at times, I’d cook something special at home. Normally, this happens during Sunday lunch after mass because it’s the time when our family is complete. Last Sunday, we decided to head for the mall and dine at TGI Friday’s – Robinsons Galleria.
TGI Friday’s has been a regular family destination of #TheDreys for sometime now. My teens are always excited whenever we plan to go to TGI Friday’s — even if we order the same dishes again and again. Little did we know that TGI Friday’s actually has 10 new dishes on their menu! Of course, we didn’t pass up on the happy opportunity to give some of these a try.
New offerings and some old time favorites at TGI Friday’s
New Onion Rings Platter (Php250)
This platter consists of cajun spice dusted onion rings and their classic onion rings which they only served as part of their sides before. Now, you can order this treat separately. As a lover of onion rings, I was definitely delighted with TGI Friday’s version. The onions were sweet and cut just the right size.
Friday’s Mozzarella (Php325.00)
This is my daughter’s staple appetizer at TGI Friday’s because she loves mozzarella so much! Thick slices of mozzarella cheese coated in TGI Friday’s Italian-style breading then deep-fried. Served with marinara sauce.
Friday’s Cheeseburger (Php475.00)
My daughter who is not so much of a rice eater opted to go for a cheeseburger instead. This burger has a juicy burger patty that has been cooked medium well, topped with American cheese with classic fixings and accompanied with crispy seasoned fries. Truly a comfort food for anyone with a good appetite. Classic burgers never go out of style.
Jack Daniel’s Ribs & Shrimp (Country Ribs – Half Rack: Php845 / Full Rack: Php1,250.00 | Baby Back Ribs Half Rack – Php995.00 / Full Rack: Php1,595.00)
The cajun spiced, fall-of-the-bone pork ribs are fire-grilled and glazed with Jack Daniel’s sauce. It comes with battered butterflied shrimps which are fried to a perfect crisp. It comes with crispy seasoned fries and coleslaw, too. Most definitely a meal of champions! My son was totally satisfied with this.
Baby Back Ribs (Half Rack: Php595.00 / Full Rack: Php1,495.00)
This classic offering never disappoints! My husband’s platter had tender meat which has been glazed with Apple BBQ sauce. You can also go for their Jack Daniel’s Sauce instead. Either way, it’s incredibly good!
Grilled BBQ Chicken (Php495.00)
Since I was undecided on what to order, I opted for something simple. I went for some Grilled BBQ marinated chicken that was cooked beautifully. The glaze wasn’t too sweet which is just the way I like it, plus the boneless chicken was ever so tender. I even got some of my husband’s Apple BBQ sauce and dipped my grilled chicken in it. It turned out wonderful as well! This dish is served with rice pilaf and veggies.
And for dessert, we tried out this New Banoffie Pie (Php295.00).
Buttery graham crust filled with sticky toffee, topped with fresh banana chunks and dried banana chips. A chock-full of delightful goodness! Perfect for sharing or you can have it all to yourself.
The new items are part of TGI Friday’s Ten New and delicious dishes. Check it out guys! ‘Twas another satisfying lunch with the fambam at TGI Friday’s!
