Araw ng Kagitingan, Day of Valor, Bataan Day or Bataan and Corregidor Day — However you want to call it, it is an important day that we Filipinos observe every 9th of April.
This important event commemorates the Fall of Bataan during World War II. A day to honor the heroism and bravery of the Filipino and American soldiers as well as civilians who gallantly fought against the Japanese troops who were forced to walk the infamous 140-kilometre Bataan Death March and perished along the way… We salute them. We honor these veterans.
We pay tribute to them today and forever.
Thank you for our freedom. For fighting in the name of democracy. Thank you.
