What if I tell you that there is a place where you can eat as much Wagyu beef as your tummy can hold. Impossible? Of course not! It’s incredibly possible at the Mad for Wagyu dinner buffet every Saturday at EDSA Shangri-La’s HEAT.. Unlimited, belly-filling Wagyu happiness!
The moment I entered HEAT, my eyes lit up! My eyes popped with amazement and disbelief! Imagine, a huge variety of dishes using Wagyu American Style Kobe Beef and Australian Wagyu Grade 4-5!
It was utter Wagyu heaven and I didn’t know where to begin! I had to take a deep breath, compose myself and scour the entire area to see what I like. After going back and forth deciding on what to get, here are my Mad for Wagyu picks!

Cheesy Gyu Sushi
You can find the usual salmon and tuna sushi but this particular one caught my eye! Really good stuff! But if I were you, don’t go heavy on this if you still want to enjoy the other outstanding Mad for Wagyu dishes!
Get this… Wagyu shawarma! Yes! But, instead of eating it with the pocket pita, I requested for an open-faced version with lots of sauce and greens!
Philly’s Steak Sandwich
Packed with wagyu in a hoagie roll and loaded with generous layers of cheese, onions and bell peppers.

Among the assortment of Mad for Wagyu appetizers, this stood out among the others and was the undisputed star of the night! Candied, crispy and addicting! The chef sure knows how to make these addicting wagyu slices paper thin and incredibly crispy! Eat this as is or pair it with fried rice and sunny side-up egg just like what Hefty Foodie and Berto in Brogues did.
This beautiful slab of meat should never be passed up on! The heart of the steak should be brick red and it was just all that! Perfect! I had it cooked medium well and the chef nailed it to a tee.
Care for some Roast Beef? The smokey taste and the delightful charring gave it a nice textural contrast. It was also perfectly cooked in the right doneness.
Yes, the buffet may be called “Mad for Wagyu” but they also have non-Wagyu offerings like lobster, shrimps and mussels.
Dig in and suck it out and chug it down with Stella Artois or your choice of wine!
Any Pinoy Christmas feast won’t be complete without Lechon (suckling pig)!
