Reasons why City Garden Grand Hotel deserves a visit
1. Luxury
City Garden Grand Hotel boasts beautiful chandeliers in the lobby using thousands of capiz shells, encrusted with semi-precious onyx stone hallways to Padua Furniture pieces in classic design concept that never goes out of style.
2. Facilities
City Garden Grand Hotel has 4 event venues, a fitness center, spa, bar, roof deck pool, 2 Jacuzzi style tubs, 5-story parking area and free Wi-Fi Internet connection.
3. Accommodation
The 311 rooms of City Garden Grand Hotel made up of Superior, Deluxe, Premium, Junior Suite and Presidential Suite categories are designed to give you that relaxing and comfortable stay. They are designed in warm earth tones to give you that much sought after serene and tranquil atmosphere.
During our visit, we stayed at a Junior Suite with a connecting Deluxe Room.
The Junior Suite itself was spacious enough to even add 2 roll-away beds. It has a comfortable non-allergenic King size bed with 500-thread count duvet and goose down pillows and a roomy bathroom!
Apart from that, City Garden Grand Hotel’s Junior Suite has 2 flat screen TVs, a receiving area, a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, a stocked fridge, chinaware and cutleries.
The place even has a powder room if ever you have guests coming to visit. Two thumbs up!
City Garden Grand Hotel’s Deluxe Room on the other hand, has 2 King Beds (perfect for my 2 teens), a flat screen TV, work desk and a clean and sizable bathroom, too.
But what I particularly loved about our rooms is the homey Filipino touch – high ceiling, narra doors, polished hardwood flooring, wooden furnitures plus the shaggy sectional rugs that added to the place’s impressive aesthetics.
Guess what? City Garden Grand Hotel has a Presidential Suite (which was coincidentally located just right next door to us) that boasts of its own jacuzzi which overlooks the cityscape!
And guests occupying this suite may request for a personal cook. Talk about (City Garden) grand living!
4. Two Dining Restaurants
Spice Cafe located on the 7th floor serves buffet breakfast and lunch.
From Asian to Continental
selections… Take your pick!
For lunch, you can go as heavy by opting to dig in on their grilled offerings as well as beef dishes and tummy filling noodles. Our family decided to have some pasta, burger and sandwich for lunch.
Mushroom Melt Burger (Php450.00)
The grilled patty was juicy without being fatty, cooked “medium” and very flavorful with melted cheese and lots of mushroom. Had to lick the melted cheese and juices off of my fingertips right after!
Grilled Chicken Sandwich (Php285.00)
Chicken fillet in ranch dressing served with romaine, tomato and cucumber in whole wheat bread with fries. This was surprisingly good!
Carbonara (Php245.00)
Delicious pasta in creamy white sauce topped with Parmesan and crispy bacon bits that my daughter happily indulged on.
City Garden Grand Hotel’s Firefly Roof Deck at the 32nd floor will not only satiate you with their mouthwatering offerings but also give you an amazing view of the Makati skyline while enjoying your dinner coupled with your favorite drinks. FYI. They serve mocktails, too!
Makati skyline day or night.
Bistek Tagalog (Php425.00)
Soft Beef Tenderloin marinated in calamansi and soy sauce topped with onion rings and served with garlic rice, fried egg and pickled vegetables. Comforting!
Pad Thai (Php295.00)
Stir-fried noodles with pork belly, shrimp and vegetables
10″ Quattro Formaggi (Php370.00)
4 kinds of cheese in tomato sauce.
Grilled Squid (Php255.00)
Fresh squid that can be shared by two. Instead of stuffing it with the usual tomatoes and onions, they used diced celery and onions giving it a refreshingly different taste. I ordered Garlic Rice to partner it with. Yum!
Cheers!
