Victoria Harbour Cafe at Resorts World Manila opened just last July 18, 2014 and is headed by Master Chef David Choo, offering wonderful authentic Asian dishes. Chef David ensures the authenticity of every Eastern flavor that Victoria Harbour Cafe is so proud to serve.
At Victoria Harbour Cafe you are assured of mouthwatering dishes that are absolutely friendly on the pocket. I was actually surprised to see the prices on their menu. It’s true that looks can be deceiving! Upon entering the seemingly posh Victoria Harbour Cafe you’d think that the prices of their dishes are pegged much higher. It’s the perfect marriage of top quality food and affordability.Look at the menu and check out the prices. Ridiculously affordable, right?
Victoria Harbour Cafe dishes
Right after we were introduced to Chef David, we were immediately served a delicious round of dim sum starting off with Hakaw, steamed Siomai and Asado Siopao which is freshly made everyday.
Followed by Wanton Noodles using Hongkong noodles.
Good stock is essential in a dish. This bowl of lovely broth, beautifully cooked noodles and the rest of the ingredients used were put together just wonderfully.
Beef Brisket Rice
The beef has been cooked for 2 hours making it fork tender atop a steaming Bokchoy rice. This is the dish where you get all your protein, carb and vegetable needs in one go.
Roast Chicken Rice
A different take on roasted chicken because it actually tastes like duck. Perfectly seasoned chicken with crispy thin skin.
Beef Char Kway Teow
A meal in itself – stir-fry noodles topped with beef slices.
Kaya Toast
If you want something light for an afternoon snack, this Kaya Toast is really very good!
Creamy Mango with Pomelo and Sago
A familiar dessert in Chinese restaurants. But what makes this dish quite unique are the bits of refreshing pomelo. It balances out the sweetness from the creamy mango. A delicious indulgence!
Custard Bun
I also call it the “Heavenly Bun”. It looks like Siopao but when you bite into that soft bun, a warm custard made of salted egg yolk oozes out of it. Sweet, grainy, sinful and amazingly good!
After all these sweet and savory dishes from Victoria Harbour Cafe, we capped our meal with a good round of hot milk tea.
If you want it cold, you can have it that way, too.
I highly recommend Victoria Harbour Cafe if you want some seriously delicious yet insanely affordable chow!
