I may not love sweets that much (well… depends on the kind of sweets), but my love for French Crullers go way back. It reminds me of my high school years that I used to call it a round twisted donut.
I really wanted to enjoy the French Crullers so here’s what I did… I took out 2 plastic containers and placed 2 different French Cruller variants and brought the remaining 2 slices of queso de bola right away – Because “sweet and salty” combos are my favorite!
I had the sugar-raised variant first and it was definitely love at first bite!
I ate this on the road while stuck in traffic and took a photo. It felt like it was just taken out of the oven! It was light, had an airy texture, moist and oh so sinful!
Couldn’t get enough of it, so I tried the glazed one which my husband was eating and went ga-ga again!
I was supposed to snatch it away from his hand but I knew he’d get angry. LOL! It was another delicious variant! It was nicely glazed. I don’t know if you notice the “creamy” texture? I thought it was cream or something at first, but it was just moist!
If you think these French Crullers are pricey, think again. You’d be pleased to know that the Sugar-Raised, Cinnamon and Glazed variants are priced at Php29.00 each only, while the Milk Choco with Almonds and Dark Choco with Cashew is only at Php39.00 each (suggested retail price). These delicious treats are best paired with Mister Donut’s famous brewed coffee! Perfect for your afternoon snack or for a sweet nightcap.
