Survivor: Philippines

The latest and 25th season of CBS’ Survivor, Survivor Philippines just premiered today over GMA News TV which was held at the beautiful Caramoan Islands, Camarines Sur. This is actually not the first time that the Survivor franchise has filmed at Caramoan. Survivor Israel, France, Sweden and a few others have already shot there years ago. It’s a “first” in the sense that the original franchise has filmed in the Philippines and aired it internationally.

Paraphrasing what “Survivor: Philippines” host, Jeff Probst, said upon his arrival via speedboat : “We are here in the most beautiful and remote islands, the Philippines.”

All 3 tribes are named after our local animals: “Tandang” (rooster), “Matsing” (monkey), and “Kalabaw” (water buffalo). Even the colors of each respective tribe represent the colors of the Philippine flag.
