Piri-Piri Chicken Skin (Php110.00)

By simply looking at it, it seems like your ordinary fried chicken skin but it’s way more than that. This dish was perfectly fried and beautifully seasoned. And if you dip it with any of Spice Bird’s house made sauces, it will give you that additional oomph.

I tried the Curry-Curry Sauce and I was blown away! The Curry-Curry Sauce goes very well with the crunchy chicken skin’s flavor, leaving you wanting for more. I just had to stop myself from getting more or my BP might shoot straight up!

Poketo (taking over Famry)

Choose any of the available Yakitori sticks: chicken thigh, chicken breast & leek, chicken wing, tsukune or chicken balls, chicken skin, pork belly, pork neck, tofu and eggplant.

For my bowl, I got chicken thigh, wing and pork neck. It also comes with Onsen Egg, Tempura Flakes, Nori and Pickles. Mix everything up to give you that one perfect bite each and every time.

Fat Rice (taking over Liberation)

Crab Fat Wings from Fat Rice (Php390.00)

These crispy wings are covered with crab fat and sweet palm sugar. It doesn’t look that appealing, but dig right in and you’ll be blown away! This simple chicken wing dish covered with crab fat is absoutely heavenly! Even if crab fat, as we all know, is not the healthiest of ingredients, I devoured it without hesitating!

Cha Ca “La Vong” (Php390.00)

If you’ve been to Hanoi, Vietnam, I am sure you have already tried this iconic dish. But if you haven’t yet, now’s your chance.

Fat Rice’s version has fresh dill, fish slices (whichI’m assuming is Cod), spicy peanuts and shrimp paste.

You mix the noodles with the dill and cod that’s been doused in turmeric flavored oil, coat it well to get the flavors and transfer to a separate bowl. Top it with the spiced nuts and finish it with some shrimp sauce.

The turmeric oil has that slightly sweet flavor which pairs good with the salty and spicy flavors from the fish sauce & spicy nuts. While the dill leaves, on the other hand, has a clean and fresh taste that gives additional character to the entire dish. A taste of Vietnam on a bowl. Good stuff!

I have been to Vietnam a couple of times but missed out on this so, I am just really glad I was able to try it here.

Coco Mama (taking over Milk Trade)

Coconut Ice Cream with Mango (Php140.00)

As they say, always leave room for dessert and that’s exactly what I did!

At first, I thought I won’t be able to finish this entire dessert, but I was wrong. So, what’s in it that makes it soooo good? Coconut ice cream, mango cubes, rice pops, red sticky rice and coconut meat served in a freshly opened coconut shell. Just the perfect meal ender.

Sorry guys! But did I just make you drool? If so… mission accomplished. 😉

Head on over to Best of Boracay and try it out for yourselves because not only will your tummies will be filled with good food, but you will also be able to help some of the most dedicated and amazing employees you could find in Boracay. You’ll be definitely walking out of Hole In The Wall with a smile on your face.
