Go Cashless with GCash and Bench!

When going to the mall, I try to avoid bringing cash for safety reasons. That’s why whenever I’m out, I have very minimal cash on hand. Apart from my credit and debit cards, I take advantage of my GCash.

Not familiar with GCash? Here’s the low down and why you should have one yourselves…

GCash is a fast and secure way to send and receive money, pay bills and buy prepaid credits anytime, anywhere! Simpler than a credit card and safer than cash, GCash allows easy and secure money transfers. No need to memorize keywords and access numbers. All you need is your mobile pin and enough GCash credits to start a transaction. With Globe GCash, you’ll love the way you pay!

What I like about GCash is that it enables me to shop conveniently both locally and internationally for goods and services. Just a few days ago, I went to the newly opened Bench outlet in BGC and bought some tees for Ralph and Isabella and a few things for me and Chuckie.

I was so happy to learn that Bench (and all establishments owned by Bench) already accept GCash as a mode of payment. And since I already have the GCash app on my mobile phone, I naturally used GCash to pay for my items. All I had to do was point my phone to the GCash QR (quick response) Code to take advantage of the fast and easy Scan To Pay feature.

It only took me a minute to complete my entire transaction! No kidding! If you have a GCash account + smartphone, you, too, can easily pay at any participating GCash outlet for easy and hassle free shopping.

Chuck and I even went to Marugame Udon at BGC High Street to enjoy a quick dinner before heading home. Since this popular udon chain is a Bench affiliate, we once again used my GCash to pay for our meals.

If you haven’t been to Marugame Udon, the process of ordering is like this: You start from the left side of the counter… grab a tray and make your way to the other end slowly, starting off by ordering from a selection of udon to side dishes like tempura, chicken karaage omusubi, gyoza and more.

When you are done, proceed to the cashier and pay for your order. Of course, I paid using my GCash.

I got myself some Beef Ontama Bukkake Udon (Regular: Php210.00), Ebiten (Php60.00/pc), Gyoza (Php40.00/pc)

To make my Beef Ontama Bukkake Udon more flavorful, I added some tempura batter flakes for some crunch, chopped up onion leeks, sesame seeds and togarashi.

Thanks to Globe and GCash for making transactions more convenient and safer. It truly is better to go cashless with GCash.

GCash users can now pay for any item at any Bench affiliated brands: Paul Smith, American Eagle, The Face Shop, Aldo, Assembly, Aldo Accessories, Bench Body, Bench Fix Salon, Bench Kiosk, Bobbi Brown, Call It Spring, Cotton On, Cotton on Kids, Cath Kidston, Charles and Keith, Dimensione, Estee Lauder, Fox, Her Bench, Human, Jo Malone, Kashieca, La Senza, Maisen, Multibrand, Mothercare, Origin, Pablo, Pedro, Paul, Personal Exchange, Repetto, Rubi, Skin Expert, St. Marc, Typo, Under Armour and Vero Moda.
