Discovering a new destination is always fun. Traveling to new places offers memorable and interesting experiences, not to mention a better appreciation of one’s distinct culture. That’s why I always look forward to new travel opportunities just like my recent trip to Jeju in South Korea which left me breathless.
Back in 2015, when I visited Seoul and its neighboring cities, I actually thought that I’ve already seen everything that South Korea had to offer. Boy, was I wrong.
I’ve already heard about Jeju and its wonderful tourist spots but never did I imagine traveling to this beautiful island as soon as I did.
And off we go.
It only took us 3 hours and 10 minutes to reach Jeju via direct flight from Manila.
Upon our arrival at Jeju International Airport, we were warmly welcomed by the Jeju Tourism Organization who was our host for 4 days together with Korea Tourism Organization Manila and Rakso Travel who facilitated our flight via Philippine Airlines.
Annyeonghaseyo! I am really honored to be part of the Jeju Island Media Trip being that I’m the only blogger in this group.
Jeju, also known as Jejudo, is the main island of the Jeju Province in South Korea and the largest island off the coast of the Korean Peninsula.
This popular place has already become the number 1 tourism destination in Korea and with good reason. There is just so much to see and do in this breathtaking island.
Did you know that this amazing island was given the UNESCO Triple Crown? UNESCO gave all 3 prestigious recognitions to Jeju for its Biosphere Reserve, World Natural Heritage and Global Geopark.
Jeju is the only island to receive such an award being that this place is an environmental treasure that the global community needs to preserve.
The natural beauty of this place is astonishingly stunning! Even when it was raining during most of the 2nd day of our trip, there was still undeniably a lot of beauty to appreciate.
Even with jackets on, umbrellas up and rain-soaked shoes, you will realize that this South Korean island still has near-endless picture possibilities. It goes without saying that the rain didn’t hinder us from going out and exploring the island. In fact, this island takes on a beautifully different character when it rains.
If you’re planning a trip to South Korea anytime soon (and I highly encourage you to), make sure to add this destination on your list of go-places! The attractions will leave you in awe. Those who have been to this province know this to be true.
Wanna know what incredible places and amazing experiences Jeju has in store for tourists and visitors? That’s exactly what my next post is all about! So, if you’re already excited to learn about the beautiful attractions in Jeju Island, make sure to check back in a couple of days. You not gonna want to miss it!
I’d like to thank the Korea Tourism Organization Manila and Jeju Tourism Organization for making our media familiarization trip possible. Thank you also to Rakso Air Travel and Tours, Inc. for facilitating our Philippine Airlines flights.
