In the world of The Tummy Traveler, staying connected is vital and having a reliable smartphone is even more important. Being on the go most of the time, I always rely on my laptop and smartphone to get things done, whether the task is for work, blog and, of course, for personal reasons.
My smartphone contains some of my favorite pictures and videos of me and my loved ones. It is also loaded with apps that I use everyday. My smartphone also serves as my newspaper where I check the news via Twitter. It is my alarm clock, my timer when I cook, my mirror when I need to retouch my makeup and a lot more. See! It goes without saying that I might really go crazy if I don’t have my smartphone with me!
Just recently, I discovered the Up Sense by Starmobile. Who would have thought that this Android powered phone would actually impress me!

My thoughts on the Up Sense by Starmobile
Here is my honest review of the Up Sense by Starmobile.
Rear: 8MP AF with Flash
Video Capture: 1080p @ 30fps
The quality of the camera of the Starmobile Up Sense is actually great considering the price of this phone. You get some good depth of field and, even in low lighting condition, one can still get great output. You can even just say “Capture” and the phone will take your picture automatically. Easy for selfies, too.
The Up Sense by Starmobile produces clean and smooth sound, but be careful not to crank up the volume too much if you don’t want the sound to get a little distorted. With 6 holes at the bottom of the device for better sound, you can expect music and audio to be loud enough even at low volume levels.
The responsiveness of the Up Sense by Starmobile is actually just as good as any other Android phone . I haven’t experienced any lag or hangs whenever I use it.
Colors are vibrant and lively. You can clearly see what’s on the screen even if you look at it from different angles. That’s my crazy daughter! 😉
3D Fingerprint, 3-Axis Gravity, Light, Proximity
This is Starmobile’s first ever Fingerprint Sensor-enabled phone, making it easier for the owner to unlock the phone and keep the device protected.
2500 mAh Li-Po, Up to 12.5 hours talk time, Up to 315 hours standby
Well, personally I think battery life depends on how heavy one uses his/her device. For someone like me who happens to be a heavy phone user, I regularly find myself needing to charge it. The battery by the way is removable.
Size and Color:
143 x 70.5 x 8mm
The Up Sense by Starmobile fits perfectly in my hand and the textured back cover gives it a nice grip. I personally love the space gray color. It also comes in Champagne and Rose Gold colors, too.
Inside the slide-out box, you will find the usual accoutrements — in-ear headphones, 5V 1A travel charger, MicroUSB cable, Screen protector and a Silicone case.
Overall, I recommend Up Sense by Starmobile if you are someone looking for an affordable yet very capable Android device. It is user friendly, cute and boasts of some features that you would normally only find in higher end models. Would you believe me if I told you that the Up Sense by Starmobile retails for only Php4,290? I know right! It’s actually the perfect gift to give your loved ones this Christmas.
Check out the Up Sense by Starmobile yourselves and find out why this device could be your next smartphone.
