Singapore or the City in a Garden is known for its shopping malls, celebrity chef restaurants and exceptional attractions such as the Marina Bay Sands or Gardens by the Bay and the Merlion which is Singapore’s mascot. It is also rich in history and culture that comes with the many different ethnicities living in Singapore.

AirAsia’s newest Cebu-Singapore announcement came two days after its executives led by its CEO Dexter Comendador with Department of Tourism head for route development Erwin Balane and Taiwan Economic Cultural Office director for press division Jerry Cheng-An Chuang arrived in Cebu last Wednesday (20 October) to formally open the Cebu-Taipei route.

Why Cebu?

Cebu is emerging as the fastest growing air hub outside Metro Manila and AirAsia is here to connect Cebu to Singapore, Taipei, Korea, Malaysia and onto AirAsia Group’s massive network of over 120 destinations across Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the Middle East and Africa, Philippines AirAsia CEO Capt. Comendador said.

Besides Singapore and Taipei, AirAsia announced earlier that it will also increase flights between Cebu and Kuala Lumpur from three to four times weekly effective October 29. AirAsia also services direct flights from Cebu to Incheon (Seoul) in South Korea.
