If you’re like me who loves frequenting groceries and food bazaars, I’m sure you’ve already seen Julie’s Biscuits. It’s very likely you’ve probably also tasted some of the products that Julie’s Biscuits manufactures. But here’s a fun fact which you probably didn’t know… Julie’s Biscuits (Malaysia) and Julie’s Bakeshop (Philippines) are actually not the same brands. Just like myself, most people I know also got confused, thinking they were one and the same. Though both brands started 35 years ago and coincidentally also using a woman in their respective logos, these 2 brands are totally different from one another. It was only when I’ve been frequenting Malaysia that I learned that Julie’s Biscuits is a Malaysian brand and has been in the Philippine market for 4 years now.
This all Malaysian brand has 3 factories in Malaysia, producing high quality biscuits. As a matter of fact, I was one of the few lucky bloggers to be invited to Malacca, Malaysia to visit the Julie’s Biscuits Factory.
Julie’s Biscuits Malaysia Team welcoming us.
Before entering the factory, we were required to wear a “factory” gown, shoe covers, hair net and face masks, and taught how to wash our hands properly to ensure we don’t contaminate the products.
All Julie’s Biscuits are made in Malaysia to ensure the quality of their products which they proudly say are all made with love and using only the finest ingredients. They go by the philosophy that, “whatever we do not eat, we do not let others eat”. Julie’s Biscuits are Halal certified as well.
Julie’s Biscuits is the #1 local biscuit brand in Malaysia and have captured the hearts of Malaysia as well as the 75 other countries that they distribute their products to.
Julie’s Biscuits are BAKED WITH LOVE. Everything starts right at their factory. They select only the finest ingredients while being conscientious and ethical in their practices. They make sure to show love and care to their employees and to the community as well.
Julie’s Biscuits started from a single plant, producing only crackers with 200 workers. Now, Julie’s has expanded its variety of products, manufacturing not only crackers but other delicious treats such as wafer rolls, cream sandwiches, oat cookies and even butter waffles!
Julie’s Biscuits boasts of 4 biscuit oven lines, 12 wafer roll ovens, 1 butter waffle oven, 1 wafer book oven, 1 cake & lady finger oven, several mixers, as well as sandwiching and wrapping machines. Whew! That’s a lot!
They now have 1,000 employees keeping the love of Julie’s Biscuits alive with every product they bring out.
Since we were at the factory, they also showed us how to create delicious desserts using their products just like this pretty and colorful cake made from Julie’s Biscuits Butter Crackers with fresh fruits.
We also made our individual Julie’s Fruity Layer Cake using Julie’s Biscuits Butter Crackers.
I topped off my creation with crushed Julie’s Biscuits Butter Crackers. Voila!
Here are the rest of the finished product made by our team. All beautifully made!
To my pleasant surprise, my very own creation was even selected to be among the top 3 entries! Woohoo! Thanks Mr. Martin Ang of Julie’s Biscuits!
You can also make other concoctions using Julie’s Biscuits and other products like their Julie’s Strawberry Cheesecake. This particular cake incorporates some delicious Julie’s Oat 25 Strawberry Cookies in it.
This Julie’s Hershey’s Cookies & Cream Ice Cream uses Julie’s Hershey’s Chocolate Chips Hazelnut Cookies.
These delectable desserts were served during our lunch at The Pressroom Bistro at the Pavilion Residence in Kuala Lumpur.

It was wonderful to have met Perfect Food Manufacturing’s Big Boss, Mr. Martin Ang, their Business Development Manager Ms. Mint Chin, Niño Martinez of Julie’s Biscuits Philippines and the rest of the Perfect Food Manufacturing team.
