Meranti Hotel – Quezon City’s newest chic boutique hotel

If you are looking for a place to have a quick getaway without having to travel too far, one of your best bets would be Meranti Hotel.

Meranti Hotel Quezon City

Meranti Hotel is strategically located just across the first Max’s Restaurant branch along Scout Tuazon and is surrounded by a good number of notable establishments that can either be accessed by car or even on foot. It is also in close proximity to some must-visit tourist sights. This newest boutique hotel is the maiden hotel venture of Max’s Group. Yup, you read that right! Max’s isn’t only about fried chicken anymore!

A quick and relaxing stay at Meranti Hotel

Upon arrival, I was given Sago’t Gulaman as my welcome drink.

But what really caught my attention were these beautiful chairs that are undoubtedly head-turners! Meranti Hotel has a good number of these chairs designed by Kenneth Cobonpue. I also heard that this particular design happens to be part of Angelina Jolie’s collection.

But the beauty of this new boutique hotel doesn’t end with those mahogany chairs… Head up to your room and be pleasantly surprised!

Meranti Hotel has 59 guestrooms with a minibar, IDD telephone, individual climate control and a laptop-sized safe. Their rooms are crafted for pure relaxation with a modern minimalist interior.

They also probably have the plushest bed and bedding I’ve ever tried. I kid you not! I’ve experienced a lot of really comfy beds in the many staycations that I’ve already had and I could most definitely say that Meranti Hotel’s bed is absolutely dreamy! It’s the kind that’ll make you feel like you’re actually sleeping on a cloud.

They are also the first hotel in QC to use Smart TVs. Look! I even accessed my own website!

Notice the bathroom walls? These walls were not painted. Instead, they used vasari made from local shells to give the area a different style and beauty.

The bathroom has see-through glass panels and really amusing (and funny) toiletry packaging.

At night, this cute turndown service with a personalized note will make you end your day with a smile.

As for Meranti’s facilities, you will find a pool at the rooftop. It may be quite small but it is good enough if you just want to take a dip and relax.

The rooftop is also a nice spot if you just want to laze around or enjoy the view of city below whether daytime or nighttime.

Now, let’s talk about food. When you are checked-in at Meranti Hotel, you are assured of waking up to a nice spread at the Meranti Cafe by Maple.

The name Maple alone and its reputation is enough reason for you to head over to the cafe.

Looking to have lunch or dinner? Not to worry because Maple Cafe serves both. Here, check out some of my favorites.

Maple’s Crusty Rolls

Beautifully baked and drizzled with maple syrup. Don’t skip out on this, please!

Maple House Salad

Fresh Lollo Rosso and vegetables, sprinkled with maple glazed pecans and parmesan flakes with roasted shallot vegetables.

Prime Rib Tapa

This is Maple’s core dish and a chef recommendation. Their Prime Rib Tapa is your elevated TapSiLog! Tender meat with a nice balance of sweet and salty flavors. This dish has two eggs cooked the way you like it with sidings of tomato-onion salsa, atchara and served with garlic rice. I can eat this breakfast specialty anytime of the day!

Bourbon Bread Pudding

This traditional American favorite is served with bourbon crème anglaise or you can enjoy it à la mode if you wish. Another chef recommendation.

Boutique hotels come in small spaces and are usually stylish and chic yet not overwhelming with the comforts of a noteworthy hotel. Booking a stay at Meranti Hotel whether over the weekend or if you just want to have that quiet escape might be one of your best reasons to stay in Quezon City. It is worth noting that the staff is friendly and on the ball, too! Try this place out and see for yourself.

And, oh! Do come back for my Max’s Restaurant and Kamuning Bakery visit. It has been quite a while since I last visited these establishments, so it would be great to share with you my recent experience in these places.
