Would you believe me if I told you that I haven’t tried camping ever? I was never part of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) when almost every girl I know have been one — and pretty much all of them have had their own camping experience. So, when Mae Ilagan of When In Manila invited me and my husband to try Glamping (glamorous camping) at Nurture Wellness Village, I immediately said yes without hesitation.
Glamping – A whole new kind of camping experience worth trying
Nurture Wellness Village is known for their holistic approach when it comes to rest, relaxation and recreation. Glamping happens to be one of their offerings which allows you to get away from stress and truly relax while reconnecting with nature. This was our accommodation during our stay at Nurture Wellness Village.
Glamping is a worry-free outdoor adventure as everything is provided for you already when you arrive, giving you more time to spend with your family or friends. No need to unroll the sleeping bags, no tent to pitch and even fire to make… It’s a total upgrade from your traditional camping.
Glamping is another way to experience the outdoors comfortably. Something new and something exciting that will definitely excite anyone.
When you book your Glamping at Nurture Wellness Village, you have: an assembled and well-lit tent, electric fan, mattress with pillows and sheets, toiletries and towels.
I was outdoors most of the time and surrounded by plants when I was at Nurture Wellness Village, but I didn’t get to feel any irritating mosquito bites. I heard that citronella plants were scattered around the area for this very reason. But it doesn’t hurt to bring your own insect repellant lotion. Who knows… it might come in handy.
Experiencing Glamping at Nurture Wellness Village is something I would highly recommend to everyone. With glamping, you get the best of both worlds: some of the comforts of a hotel and the adventure of tent-living or camping. It’s like a retreat that I’ve been meaning to take. And since there’s no access to TV, I dozed off before midnight! That’s an accomplishment considering I usually sleep at 3am! It’s a one of a kind experience that I don’t mind doing again.
I can’t wait to go back and bring my kids to Nurture Wellness Village. Through glamping, my children will enjoy a unique kind of getaway centered in holistic wellness in a relaxing and secure environment. I’m excited to show them that living a healthy lifestyle is fun!
Speaking of healthy lifestyle, here are some simple and doable steps to living healthy. Steps that I learned during our stay at Nurture Wellness Village.
