Don’t be confused between Salvatore Ferragamo and Salvatore Cuomo! The former hasn’t changed careers yet while the latter is an Italian-Japanese celebrity chef, restaurateur and known in Japan as “The Pizza Man” and “The Grand Chef”.
And because of Salvatore Cuomo’s expertise in pizza making, the group behind the Chili’s franchise decided to open a premium casual dining establishment – Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar at Uptown Parade in BGC.
Salvatore Cuomo has long been making Neapolitan (Napoletana) pizzas and is known for that. As with all Napoletana pizzas, it is made with tomatoes, not heavy or fancy on toppings and has to be cooked in a special kind of oven. Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar had to ship in their special oven from Naples, Italy to make sure that they are able to consistently create that authentic Napoletana pizza – an airy and bubbly thin crust that boasts of a moist and soft middle part. It also has a smoky taste and rustic look.
Enjoy wonderful dishes at Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar
At Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar, you will enjoy not only great pizzas, but also a nice lineup of Italian offerings that we Filipinos will surely love.
Tagliere di Affettati (Php960.00)
But to add some sweetness to compliment the cheesiness and saltiness, add honey. Don’t hold back, go heavy! You won’t regret it (unless, of course, if your health prevents you from having too much sugar)! I highly recommend this pizza.
D.O.C or Denominazione Origine di Controllata (Php820.00)
This specialty uses only three ingredients: mozzarella, cherry tomato and basil. Even if this dish uses only minimal ingredients, its incredible taste and quality is the result of Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar’s cooking technique.
How about some manly MEAT dishes for protein-hungry individuals? They sure know how to serve up a very attractive steak at Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar… The kind that can give you a steakgasms, if there ever was such a thing. 🙂
Tagliata di Manzo (Php1,500.00)
Buffalo Mozzarella Salad "Caprese" and Tagliata di Manzo or Ribeye Steak with Basil Sauce & Parmesan Cheese. This was what I had for lunch at @salvatorecuomoph. 'Nuff said! 📷Captured using Nikon 1 J5 #salvatorecuomoph #salvatorecuomo #foodstagram #thetummytraveler #Nikon1J5 #NikonMirrorless #NikonPH #IAmNikon #TeamNikonPH @OfficialNikonPH
This Ribeye Steak that can be shared by two comes with Basil Sauce & Parmesan Cheese. Beautifully grilled, contains just the right fat content, juicy, flavorful! Even when I left my steak slices sitting on my plate for a considerable amount of time because I needed to take pictures, it was still tender without that “cebo” look when I came back!
Oh guys! Don’t leave Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar without trying their colorful drinks and desserts.
Hungry now and curious? Check out Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar and tell me your thoughts. Who knows… we might bump into each other there one of these days. And if you happen to see me, say hi! Let’s share a table because good food and good company always, always go together.
Wait up! Before leaving, an #OOTD is in order! This brick wall inside Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant and Bar is just so pretty and compliments my ensemble for the day. So, there! Haha!
