Bottles of Grey Goose VX were placed on the table during the Grey Goose Gastronomique dinner. The sexy sight of this luxury drink was more than enough to excite me throughout the entire night. And to fully enjoy Grey Goose VX, a specially curated dinner was prepared during the event at the Blackbird at the Nielson Tower.
Fresh tuna slices sitting atop crispy rice. Something crispy, sweet with a slight zing for a mix of texture and flavors. A simple yet excellent appetizer to start the dinner.
Hot Smoked Ocean Trout Salad
A beautiful mess, wouldn’t you agree? This salad allows you to enjoy all the flavors of the pickled beetroot, green apple, wasabi horseradish cream and smoked ocean trout in one perfect bite.
Crispy Crab and Salt Cod Cake
One of my favorites. Crab & Salt Cod combined and made into a cake. It was served with pear and an all-time classic celeriac remoulade making it even more enjoyable to eat. Plus the tarragon anchovy aioli gave this dish additional character.
Butter and Bacon Roasted Lobster
Bacon and plump lobster claw…. This dish was nothing short of stellar! Served with a creamy porcini and polenta infused with truffle oil which gave this dish an earthy and sexy soliciting a good amount of oohs and ahhhs from guests. I could go for seconds anytime.
Earl Grey and Orange Flower Creme Fraiche
A beautifully presented dessert of strawberry sorbet and earl grey & orange flower creme fraiche on citrus crumbs. This makes for a wonderful palate cleanser as well as a great meal ender. It had the perfect balance of sweetness, tanginess and citrus flavors.
The spectacular Grey Goose Gastronomique dinner, matched with the unlimited flow of Grey Goose VX that evening definitely delighted me as well as all the other guests. Grey Goose VX and Blackbird… One exceptional experience.
