When you are in Gyeonggi-do in South Korea, make sure to visit Onemount.
Dubbed as “the greatest playground on Earth”, Onemount in South Korea is a huge cultural complex space with a water park, snow park, shopping mall and sports club. Everything you might want and need in an attraction are probably all here.
Fun and finds at Onemount in South Korea
Onemount in South Korea is the world’s first sports theme park with global retail brands and trendy shops and even a membership only sports club. But before going inside Onemount, we had lunch first at a buffet restaurant called Season’s Table inside the park.
Since I cannot read what was written on the name cards, I just went for the familiar dishes like Kimchi, Tofu, some noodles, stir-fried veggies, bulgogi etc. While going through their selection of dishes, I further realized that I was definitely in Korea already. Haha!
Jackets are readily available for rent which you will eventually find out is more of a necessity to keep you warm inside the snow park. Tip: When visiting the snow park, make sure to wear proper shoes if you don’t want your feet get frozen.
Inside the snow park at Onemount in South Korea, there’s a sled, snow hill, bikes, a 300m long ice road, merry-go-round, gaming zone, a winter village and more.
And of course, there’s… SNOW!
My husband tried his hand at curling.
And we all tried the sled being pulled by real sled dogs!
You also have to try this Tube Slide when at Onemount in South Korea. You will feel like a giddy child all over again.
While waiting for your friends, pretend you’re an eskimo and have your picture taken at the Igloo.
Onemount in South Korea also houses the largest indoor and outdoor waterpark that is open for all seasons. With 18 pool and 9 slides, you are guaranteed to have a splish-splashin’ grand time!
The attraction boasts of an indoor wave pool that produces 5 different artificial waves.
There’s soooo much to do at Onemount in South Korea and I don’t think I’ll be able to try all the rides in one day. But if given another chance, I will take my not so little kids here. For sure, they will have a fantastic time!
Special thanks to Korea Tourism Organization and Philippines AirAsia for making this trip possible.
