During our staycation at EDSA Shangri-La for my birthday, a lovely dinner at Paparazzi was prepared for #TheDreys.
The lights and interiors of Paparazzi at EDSA Shangri-La seem to give me that retro style bar feel but still maintaining that distinct Italian vibe. The place boasts of bottles after bottles of world class wines that will complement your meal.
With Chef Marco Ghezzi who’s very passionate about his craft and hands-on in the kitchen, you are assured of authentic yet delightfully inspired and inventive Italian dishes. Each dish represents the richness and diversity of Italian cuisine across regions and generations.
Paparazzi at EDSA Shangri-La is a must-visit
So, why book a table at Paparazzi at EDSA Shangri-La? Let me tell you why you should visit and what you should order.
This thinly sliced veal is topped with tuna – think of it as tuna paté that goes really well with fresh veal. The salty and sour Pantelleria capers give additional character to the entire dish. An appetizer that will tickle your tastebuds. It’s a delicious antipasti that will prepare your palate for more to come.
This classic Livornese seafood soup matched with a slice of bread is just bursting with flavors! You can taste the flavors of the sea with every spoonful! Fresh, briny and satisfying without weighing you down. This soup can brighten any seafood lover’s gloomy day.
LA PASTA FRESCA
This pasta was the perfect dish after having a delightfully light soup. The spinach fettuccine has porcini mushroom, parma ham and my favorite – truffle. This beautifully seasoned dish has al dente noodles and the perfect balance of cream and ingredients. If it wasn’t for the next dish I’d be having, I probably would’ve finished the entire serving. I actually licked clean the remaining sauce from the bowl. It’s that good!
For me Osso Bucco and Risotto are comfort food. So seeing both on one plate made me giggle in delight! Actually, if you look at it, it doesn’t look quite that appetizing. But these delicious chunks of meat are so good that you’ll enjoy the dish without any additional condiment. The beef is fork tender and the seasoning is evenly distributed. Even the sauce works lovely with the velvety and creamy saffron risotto. A must try when you visit Paparazzi at EDSA Shangri-La.
I love Tiramisu but it’s so hard to find one that’s really good. But this traditional dessert from Venetto served at Paparazzi at EDSA Shangri-La was incredible! The sponge cake was light and the strong coffee enhanced the flavor of the Tiramisu. I haven’t tried their other dessert offerings, but I would most definitely come back for this! And, oh! Paparazzi at EDSA Shangri-La has amazing bread! The kind of bread that you just want to finish all to yourself! Freshly baked, just the right size and perfect to dip in olive oil and balsamic vinegar!
‘Twas a wonderful dinner that we all enjoyed. My kids are learning so much from our regular dine outs and are slowly developing diverse palates which is great. Thank you EDSA Shangri-La and Paparazzi! Salute!
