A large chunk of my fondest childhood summer memories would be of my out of town trips with family. Whether it’s travelling way up north or just a quick drive somewhere south like Tagaytay.
Even during my teenage and college years, Tagaytay still tops my list of destinations when it comes to having a quick but relaxing weekend getaway.
Now that I have a family of my own, Tagaytay remains my go-to place for some quick R & R.
Whether it’s for a road or food trip…
Or just to buy fruits from local fruit stands along the way, Tagaytay is a wonderful place for all sorts of activities.
And when we do decide to stay the night or spend a couple of days in Tagaytay, Taal Vista Hotel has always been my preferred choice.
Experience Taal Vista Hotel
Taal Vista Hotel has existed for countless decades making it an iconic landmark in Tagaytay.
Step into the lobby and be warmly greeted by the wonderful staff.
Since its founding back in 1939 to present time, this old historic Tudor-styled 5-Star hotel gives each guest an unobstructed panoramic view of the majestic Taal Volcano.
Whether you are relaxing at the Lobby Lounge and sipping your favorite hot choco or a cup of hot coffee…
At Cafe Veranda while enjoying a wide selection of international food items during breakfast or lunch…
Or having an incredible meal at TAZA, your eyes can surely feast on the picturesque scenery!
Taal Vista Hotel is a tourist destination in itself – No need to leave the hotel premises to enjoy the view of the Taal volcano & lake while taking pleasure in the cool breeze.
Nighttime, on the other hand, offers a different kind yet equally relaxing atmosphere.
LAKE VIEW ROOM
Just like the incredible view from our Premier Lake View Wing Deluxe Queen room where we recently spent 3 days and 2 nights with my family!
This 30-sqm room with one (1) queen bed and one (1) single bed is spacious and clean.
The bathroom can be comfortably shared by 3 persons all at the same time. The shower area is separated by a tempered glass enclosure as well as the toilet area. While the sink is conveniently positioned in the middle with complete toiletries.
The room is equipped with everything that you might need: TV, minibar, coffee and tea making facilities, work desk, iron & ironing board and safety deposit box.
And the veranda! This is the perfect spot to just lounge around. Also a wonderful area to have some quiet prayer time in the morning.
And for 3 days just a couple of weeks ago, we got the chance to enjoy this picture-perfect landscape! Don’t you just love waking up to this view? And the climate is perfect! Something I could only wish Manila would have.
Taal Vista Hotel was gracious enough to give us 2 adjacent rooms, making it more fun to spend the weekend with my family who arrived from the US.
Shuttling back and forth from the lobby to our rooms located at the Lake View Wing takes a little bit of walking and may pose a bit of a challenge for some. But you will soon realize that the wonderful view of the lake and volcano on this wing more than makes up for it.
There’s a shorter route that you can take albeit still a little bit of a walk. But, everytime you pass through, you can enjoy this stunning scenery fitting for a canvas.
When hunger strikes, you can conveniently choose from Taal Vista Hotel’s several dining choices, like the Lobby Lounge, Cafe Veranda or TAZA.
For our first family dinner during our recent stay, we decided to eat at TAZA. Since this was not me and my husband’s first time to eat here, we were able to suggest some of TAZA’s delicious offerings.
Taal Vista Hotel does not only boast of good food. As a full service hotel, they have complete amenities and facilities for all checked-in guests to use. Allow me to tour you around.
This beautiful sprawling hotel has a POOL, GYM, KIDS’ CORNER, GAME ROOM, SPA and the ever popular VIEW DECK.
The pool is located at the Mountain View Wing area. We practically had the pool all to ourselves. The pool is not heated so make sure to check on your kids from time to time since the weather in Tagaytay is chilly. They might get the sniffles if they stay in the pool too long.
The Fitness Center, Kids’ Corner and Game Room are located beside TAZA.
The spa is open from 10AM to 9PM on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday) and from 10AM to 12MN on weekends.
Use this vintage set of binoculars to get a closer look of the lake and volcano.
- Kultura Butik
- Automated Teller Machine
- Wi-Fi Access
- Weekend Market – every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and 10:00am to 6:00pm during holidays.
With Taal Vista Hotel’s close proximity to Manila, one is never too far away from having a wonderful weekend with family and friends.
By the way, the Sky Ranch and Casino Filipino are practically just a stones throw away from Taal Vista Hotel. Other fun destinations and establishments are also easily accessible from there. What else could you possibly need?
Taal Vista Hotel continues to lead the way in the hospitality industry with their unrivalled service and personalized touch. They go above and beyond what is expected of them to make your stay truly a memorable one.
They even prepared an anniversary cake for us even if it was past our wedding anniversary date already. How sweet!
So whether you’re there for business or pleasure, Taal Vista Hotel is surely an oasis of comfort and luxury, standing proud for the last 75 years.
Thank you Taal Vista Hotel for making our weekend getaway a remarkable one!
