You just don’t know how happy I was when I heard that Hanamaruken Ramen was opening at The Grove by Rockwell! Hanamaruken Ramen is now finally near my place! What a joy!
The new Hanamaruken Ramen at The Grove by Rockwell in Pasig used to be the place where Umami Hambaagu was.
Hanamaruken Ramen at The Grove – New Branch, Same Ramen Goodness!
This new branch may be smaller than their Trinoma branch but it still has the same vibe and signature interiors.
If you are coming as a group, this spot is perfect. It is not enclosed, but it gives you that much needed privacy.
As for the food… my family and I have been fans of Hanamaruken Ramen’s Signature Happiness Ramen (Php480.00) since the time we first tried it out.
A shoyu tonkotsu broth ramen topped with tender, slow-braised custom cut soft bone rib that has been cooked for hours, making the meat effortlessly fall off, releasing its wonderful flavor to the broth. Truly, a ramen masterpiece by Hanamaruken Ramen’s founder Takaku Arakawa.
Apart from the soft rib, Hanamaruken Ramen’s Signature Happiness Ramen secret is in the broth! The rich milky broth is just to die for!
But did you know Hanamaruken has delicious new offerings that I was able to try last week?
This Champon is the perfect dish to enjoy on a cold night.
I thought it was just another ramen filled with greens, although it did remind me so much of Chopseuy. When I had a taste of it, I only had one word for it: Comforting. The veggies had a nice crunch while the broth delightfully offered a nice touch of smokiness to it. The entire flavor of this dish is just superb.
If you are a fan of soba, you have got to try their Arakawa Abura Soba!
The shredded beef comes from the same flavorful meat used in their Signature Happiness Ramen. It has crushed garlic chips with thin and firm noodles. It is pleasantly sweet, salty and all sorts of wonderful! It has that perfect balance of flavors, making it an immediate hit for anyone who tries it out.
Hanamaruken Ramen also serves amazing rice bowls. If you must ask, one of my favorites is their Drunk Man Rice Bowl (Php240.00)
This savory and spicy rice bowl has Kakuni with 2 fried eggs on top of fluffy steamed rice. Drunk or nursing a bad hangover? This is the perfect cure! Take one bite and you’ll most definitely agree with me.
Happiness Rice Bowl (Php250.00)
Using the same pork rib from your favorite Signature Happiness Ramen sans the soup. Still flavorful and tender. Another happiness in a bowl!
Hanamaruken Ramen at The Grove (or any of their branches) still serves the same wonderful dishes that I first fell in love with. Their dishes still give me absolute pleasure and much needed comfort every single time. You can actually hear me letting out soothing “ahhs” every after slurp or bite!
My ramen craving can now easily be satiated knowing that Hanamaruken Ramen at The Grove is just a short drive away. Yay!
