When I woke up the other day, I craved for some bacon, runny egg and cheese. Upon checking my pantry, I was happy to see that I had everything I needed! Well… everything except for the cheese slices, that is. What I had that time was a block of cheese that I still needed to slice up.
So with the ingredients I had readily available, I decided to come up with an easy to make (and pretty much “no-brainer”) Cheez Whiz Bacon Sandwich! Let me share with you how I created this yummy dish.
A fun Cheez Whiz Bacon Sandwich
What you’ll need are the following:
- Crispy fried Bacon
- Cheez Whiz
- Slices of Cheddar cheese
- Sunny Side-Up Egg
I wanted to partner it with white bread so that’s exactly what I used. I slathered the loaves with Cheez Whiz on both sides (you can use more depending on your liking) then placed them on a non-stick pan to toast the bread a little.
I assembled some cheese slices followed by a sunny side-up egg that I pre-cooked.
I then added the crispy bacon that I cooked on a separate pan and then top it with the other bread. You can add more bacon if you wish.
Voila! Fast right?
I like how my egg is runny that it delightfully soaks the bread. That way, it lessens the dryness of the sandwich but still retains the crunch of the bacon.
The 2 types of cheeses (Cheddar and Cheez Whiz) give the dish a touch of saltiness that goes very well with my unseasoned egg.
In just under 10 minutes, I have a carb-protein-calcium loaded breakfast! In fact, my family enjoyed eating the Cheez Whiz Bacon Sandwich as well. Nothing fancy. Just a good ol’ school sandwich that made me feel somehow nostalgic. It kind of took me back to my high school days when I would usually bring some “baon” along for a field trip. You can also whip up this Cheez Whiz Bacon Sandwich with the help of your kid for some great bonding time.
Since this Cheez Whiz Bacon Sandwich is easy to make, I am most definite your kid will have a swell time!
