Selangor Malaysia is a multi-cultural country boasting of Eco-Tourism, Agro-Tourism, Sports Tourism, Shopping and Dining experiences. Selangor may be the most industrialized and urbanized place of all Malaysian states, but it has somehow impressively preserved its natural beauty.
Selangor lies on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia and is one of the 13 states of Malaysia.
Today, Selangor is the richest and most developed state in Malaysia. It is home to Port Klang, the largest port in the country and also the prestigious Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
Going around Selangor was a breeze! The long and smooth trips in between places gave me so much time to enjoy the view while on board our pretty pink tourist bus. So, allow me to bring you around and show you the best of Selangor.
HOW TO GET THERE:
Book your flight via www.airasia.com to Kuala Lumpur. From Kuala Lumpur, take a bus to Selangor.
AirAsia flies daily from Manila (MNL) to Kota Kinabalu (BKI) , twice daily from Manila (MNL) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and four times a week from Kalibo (KLO) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL). Starting this July, AirAsia will fly from Cebu (CEB) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL).
WHERE TO STAY:
When we arrived, the hotel was under renovation. Nevertheless, our rooms were conducive enough for resting and relaxing.
While the Melting Pot restaurant located on the ground floor was where we had our buffet breakfast.
Right beside the Empire Hotel is the Empire Shopping Gallery where we spent a few hours going around. You can either go down the hotel and go out to access the main entrance of the mall. Or, you can take the long hallway located at the lobby on the second level (as seen on the image below) to go to the mall instead.
