HummusDiamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetI think I had too much of this appetizer that I partnered with the flat bread. I was eating Hummus all night even with my main entreé! The nutty flavor from the chickpeas and the delicious creaminess of the dish most certainly called for seconds (even a third and a fourth)!

Spiced Free Land Chicken Marinated in Middle East SpicesDiamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetDiamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetI opted for an open-faced Shawarma and drizzled it with Tahini-Garlic sauce. I requested for an additional serving of the creamy sauce on a separate bowl because the sesame taste of the Tahini sauce paired wonderfully with chicken. The spices permeated well in the chicken meat, too. This station deserved another visit!

Whole Steamed Fish with Preserved Lemons and Exotic Herbs on Seafood RiceDiamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetThe citrusy flavor from the lemon works well with the fresh fish. It works great with the herbs used.

Garithes Yiouvetsi or Baked Prawns with Feta RuccolaDiamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetI swear, this dish sent me straight to the moon! The bland taste of the steamed prawns, the saltiness from the feta cheese and a little bitterness from the Ruccola all come together perfectly with every bite!Diamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetPartner it with plain Basmati rice and you’ll never go wrong with this combo!

Lamb Kofta Braised with Vegetables CurryDiamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetNot a fan of lamb here because of its gamey taste. But this lamb dish was cooked quite differently. The kofta was soft and bursting with flavor. What a feast!

Baked Salmon with Middle Eastern SpicesDiamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetThe flavors of the different spices blended very well with the fresh salmon. A simple yet healthy dish perfect for those who are a tad more health conscious than others.

And dessert, I tried the Kunafa/Kataifi that I fell in love with!Diamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetMade of cheese, crispy dough strips topped with crushed pistachios. This particular dish isn’t really sweet so it goes well with the other sweet desserts. A perfect accompaniment to tea.

Of course an Arabian dinner wouldn’t be complete without Baklava!Diamond Hotel Corniche Arabian BuffetI’ve tasted different versions of Baklava. There’s the chewy, semi-chewy and semi-flaky types. Corniche’s version is made of thin filo pastry with nuts and honey. Just the right amount of sweetness and stickiness.
