When planning a vacation, I consider a lot of things. From choosing the right destination, accommodation, the kind of airline and the expenses I will incur. I do all these things because I want vacations that are stress-free from day 1 until the last day.
In this day and age where everyone uses what I call the “free style approach” in planning most travels, we can either spend so much or spend less depending on what we want and how we want our vacation to be. So, when I was recently invited to the launch of AirAsia Zest’s In-flight Meals to sample their praise-worthy hot meals before they actually serve them to passengers 35,000 ft above ground, I knew right away that I was in for a real treat!
Hot Meals is one of AirAsia Cafe’s pride, offering a wide array of satisfying rice meals served on-board, steaming hot and bursting with flavors at affordable prices! These hot meals are also available for pre-booking! Just log on to www.airasia.com to pre-book the meal of your choice. Also, when you pre-book your meals, you get 15% discount and a free bottle of 100ml water! So, when flying AirAsia Zest, I suggest you try their hot meals. Gone are the days of bland prepacked airline food. It’s really worth it!
Here is a list of delicious offerings included in the AirAsia Café In-flight Menu. I tell you, they have a ton of good stuff!
Our country’s national dish! Though their own version has a light sour taste. So, for those who can’t eat soury Adobo, this is perfect for you. I actually prefer mine with contrasting tastes: a bit sweet and sour.
This is one hot pasta! Well, it won’t be called Arrabiata for if it wasn’t! The al dente noodles were bathed in spicy sauce and the flavors deliciously seeped through every bit of it. Woooh!
By far, the most uncomplicated dish presented during the launch. Easy to eat and tasty.
The meat was fork tender, the carrots were crunchy and the rice was fluffy. This is important for me because I am very particular with rice. If it’s not white and fluffy, my entire meal is ruined. I gave this dish a 2-thumbs up!
This ridiculously spicy dish is my ultimate favorite! Make sure to have all the ingredients in every scoop to enjoy the amazing mixture of flavor and spices. This is one kick-ass dish!
Of course, a good meal should always have a sweet ending. You can enjoy a wide array of desserts with…
The Joy of Desserts.
These desserts can give the big coffee shops in the metro a run for their money. Seriously. These sweet offerings are GOOD.
If you want something light, you can opt to order their Sandwiches.
And for the Christmas season, AirAsia Zest has prepared something really special – their very own Christmas Meal!
If you are travelling with your kid, order this. They will love it!
These sumptuous and homey hot meals are prepared by no less than Manila Catering! Even before I learned that they are handling AirAsia Zest’s inflight meals, I have already been a client of their satellite outlet – OurKitchen.
Personally, eating while flying is what I like doing because I rarely sleep during flights unless of course if it’s a long haul.
I remember I was served a very juicy steak, with creamy mashed potato, steamed vegetables, roll of bread and a full selection of soda. And that was just in economy class on my way to Bangkok. Finally, AirAsia Zest can really mix it up with the big boys in the airline industry. Their very impressive in-flight meals is most definitely going to be a big factor when a passenger decides which airline to take! Good job, AirAisa Zest! *burp!* Excuse me.
